As a collector of memorabilia, especially autographs, there are several things that you need to consider when storing your collectibles.
WATER is the number one enemy! Make sure to store in places that are cool, yet not damp or subject to moisture. Additionally, everything should be stored ideally in a sealed container or filing cabinet. There’s no coming back or repairing or photographing and filtering any LP cover, book, magazine or autograph that has been water damaged.
SUNLIGHT is the next worse enemy. Beginning collectors often make the mistake of wanting to showcase their autographs by putting them on a wall. Unless it’s in a basement or room that gets very little to zero light, you will have Fade Dunaway on your hands. …
