It was the frenetic, speedy, and slightly sweaty acceptance speech when he and Matt Damon won the Academy Award that even made me aware of Ben  Affleck.  No, I did not see (and still haven’t seen) “Good Will Hunting.” 

Looking through his entire filmography, I can honestly say that I’ve only seen him in “Batman v Superman”.  I liked him in it, I like his chemistry with Gal Gadot, and I thought he had good character depth.  Other than that, I’ve never actively sought out to watch his movies.  

He’s handsome.  He has a great jaw and fantastic hair. And an interesting, varied taste in female celebrity partners.  I give him great credit for struggling through addiction, bouncing back, being a good co-parent and photographing well (when spiffed up and not smoking). 

Clearly it was and is the tabloids that have kept him in my sight.
