She touched my bicep and called me daddy! 

I was in the front row to see Macy Gray at Yoshi's in Oakland on August 6th, 2016, with a pre-show meet and greet.  She was super chill and friendly during our brief chat and photo-op. She really loved the picture that I had brought for her to sign. And perhaps she doesn’t love the song “Sexual Revolution” since you can see the vast difference between her signatures on the picture versus the record. Or maybe she just thought one beautiful signature for me was enough. (Sometimes when you ask for more than one item, celebs might be thinking you are a seller) 

That unique voice of hers was on prime display that night. I just remember thinking that she gave her all to every song - and she was really feeling it.  Her on-stage patter was very natural and spontaneous; like she was just talking with friends.  Her mellow vibe, incredible voice and immediate friendliness towards me made it an absolutely great evening.
