“Who’s going to shoot lovely ducks?  Come and shoot lovely ducks? Would YOU like to shoot lovely ducks?”  It still makes me laugh, thinking about this scene.  The whole scene is brief and humorous, but especially check out the 1:20 mark: 

During my phase of having to watch every possible Marlene Dietrich film, I could find, I thoroughly enjoyed “Stage Fright”.  Especially this scene with Joyce Grenfell.  There are quite a few funny lines in the film, but “lovely ducks” and Joyce’s delivery is priceless. 

Yep, I had to do an eBay search, watch, and strike for a low price ($17) to get a Joyce Grenfell autograph.  All because of Lovely Ducks.  It’s literally the only thing I’ve seen her in. LOL 

Then as I’m doing my thrifting thing, I run across TWO Joyce Grenfell LP’s.  “Presenting Joyce Grenfell” has such a great cover.  She was clearly a British treasure and awarded the OBE; dying one year before the crown was to make her a dame.  Maybe I’ll run across her again in some random British film.  Meanwhile, I’m sure she’s bustin’ up Angels.
