FAWNING OVER FAWN!

Oh, the crush that I (and so many others) had when Fawn Hall was testifying on national TV.  I was recording the trial on VHS and I couldn’t give two shits (nor understand) what was happening with the Iran-Contra Affair.  I just wanted to see the pretty girl with green eyes, the Farrah-hair and the carefully chosen words. 

She was so mesmerizing.  It was the 80’s.  Before social media.  This was the it girl for while in 1987.

Oliver North was a poster boy for Marine Colonels. He looked exactly as you would expect. It crossed my mind at the time (as I'm sure it did with many) that this pretty girl sure did have a handsome boss. Sparks??? Well, I guess so - although they waited almost 40 years - getting married in August 2025. Awwww ....

Alexander Haig was Secretary of State for Reagan in 1981 and 1982. In 1987, during the time of this fiasco, Haig was participating in a primary debate and referred to President Bush as a "wimp". I was surprised to have Haig in my collection and amused by the "wimp" factor.

Laura Bush is also in my collection and six-degrees of separation demand that she be here, although it may be a case of "I know nussing 'bout my father-in-law's business".

Colin T. Powell was accused of "misleading" testimony in 1987 about arms trading with Iran. But all this political maneuvering was way above my understanding as a 22-year-old. I just happened to find a signed book at Goodwill for $2.99 - and here he is.

Let me search for Donna Rice and Jessica Hahn ... BRB.
