Chris Isaak jumped on my radar with his very first record “Dancin” in 1985 – and it’s still one of my favorites.  It wasn’t a huge chart hit, but the eerie twang of the song and his aching voice along with his Elvis Presley hair and movie star looks caught my attention.   

It took 5 more years for him to blow up big with “Wicked Game” (#6 Billboard Pop and a hit in multiple countries).  That video seemed to be playing every 15 minutes on MTV.  The song was sexy, Chris was sexy, Helen Christensen was sexy, and Herb Ritts directed the video.  Only pretty people and locations allowed, thank you.
