Let me show you how I can weave Kylie Minogue into a story about Anna Kournikova autographs (and forgeries).
Whomever forged that trio of sexy Lolita shots clearly did ZERO research as to what Anna Kournikova’s signature looks like. They were purchased in a collection from a guy who fastidiously cut out the smallest articles of sexy women, combined them with mid-size and regular magazine and professional photos and put together a little packet on each nymph, carefully enclosed in individual plastic sleeves. Many of these packets contained autographs which were obviously forged. But I think this collector was more enamored with the images and couldn’t care less about autograph authenticity.
I tried to ditch those Anna photos, along with other “as-is; probably-not-authentic autograph photos” and they were pulled down almost immediately by eBay. Not because of autograph questionability or sexual imagery, but because of VERO intellectual property rights.
To respect copyright and avoid litigation, I’m simply focusing and displaying the autographs in question in a shot of 5 photos. The top two autographs and the lower left are all done by the same person and are downright forgeries. The two on the lower right are somewhat akin to some of her in-person autographs, but still highly dubious; they’re missing her distinctive connective loop up and over the a, and then downward directly into the k. And she usually doesn’t lift the pen, so her in-person signatures are contiguous.
The signed index card is an exact match to her in-person signatures and shown with Sports Illustrated magazine.
IGLESIAS CONNECTION: Anna has been with Enrique Iglesias since 2001. There was a big deal made in 2014 that Julio Iglesias had not yet met Ann. I still don't know if Daddy I. has met Anna. It seems quite implausible to me, but who knows their family dynamics. Julio was quite the worldwide heartthrob as you can tell from these picture sleeve 45's and posters in my collection. He's giving me Bryan Cranston vibes on the cover of the program. I guess I must not love Julio since I have only one song ("Summer Wind" with Sinatra in my iTunes library. And don't throw Spotify at me! I like to OWN the music in my collection. I'm surprised I don't have the "All of You" duet with Diana Ross in iTunes, but I know I have the picture sleeve 45. The vintage Julio vinyl you see here was just a lucky find at Community Thrift for 50 cents each. As for his autograph? "Scrawl of You".
I AM a fan of Enrique's though. He has bangers that I still love on my workout playlist. I totally forgot that “I Like It” was from the "Jersey Shore" soundtrack. Where IS Snooki?
My mom and I saw Enrique and Pitbull in concert, and I recorded him singing “I’m a Freak”. I was really hoping Pitbull would come out and perform with him during the song, but Mr. Worldwide had to keep his headliner status and not give us a sneak peek during his "opening act", Enrique.
Enrique was good in person, but the recorded version is the one that makes you MOVE!
As for Enrique's autograph - the photo seems to be inscribed to Jackie, but I can't even make out his signature, let alone make a guess as to its authenticity.
KYLIE - Hidden treat: Enrique did a song with Kylie Minogue called “Beautiful”. That's the connection. So, I’m gonna sneak in a quick video clip of Kylie and cover her separately later. I just have WAY too much to say about her and way too much in my Kylie Collection.
My friend Phillip L. and I saw her at The Voltaire in Las Vegas. As you can see from the video, she came into the audience and stood literally within feet from us! Phillip, I think you cried a little. HA! It WAS pretty exciting. The gay crowd went bananas, the prices were ridiculous, the servers were handsome and as smart as being handsome can get you. The Voltaire Kylie bag was what they gave us to take our $100+ in cookies. Yep.
Here’s a fun video link of Kylie and Enrique at the VMA’s (cute together, right?) but in regard to everything else Kylie, I’ll leave you holding the bag. But at least it’s a Kylie Vegas bag. I’ll be back with a full Kylie essay, I’m sure.
Here's the "Beautiful" duet with Kylie and Enrique
