Everybody knows Funkytown (well, everybody of a certain age, maybe), but my serious love for Lipps, Inc. came from dancing in the clubs to “Designer Music”.  Great album cover and one of my first purchased 12” singles.

Lead singer Cynthia Johnson has a very rare single of “Funkytown” as sung in German, check it out … as “Telefon.  Rare 45 record that costs over $70 in 2024
