I don't remember which came first, me reading the book by Thomas Tryon or seeing the movie. But those creepy twin boys and their mother, played ethereally by Diana Muldaur, are burned into my brain. 

I've got to tell you about how I found one of the twins to sign my pix, and add the autographs of Uta Hagen and Portia Nelson.
