I like Trevor Noah. He manages to straddle a very fine line of tackling tough comics with just the right amount of humor and seriousness. As a political commentator, he engages the viewer to possibly see things from a different perspective because of his manner of presentation, facts and the frosting of his irony or sardonic comedy.
As a TV host, I think he is really engaging. Juggling hosting duties at star-studded televised events (like the Grammy’s for example) is not an easy feat. But I think that Noah gets it done with panache, class and without pandering or groan-worthy jokes. That’s why he keeps getting hired.
He’s got a lot of important things to say, and he knows how to present them in a digestible way that makes us think. And he does it in a manner that is thoughtful and clever. In a nutshell, I think he’s intelligent and likeable and has career legs.
Finding a signed copy of his book “Born a Crime” for $2.99 at a Goodwill was bonus!
