Barbara Walters was always a bit off-putting to me.  Always intrusive, but never wanted to be intruded upon herself.  You KNOW she would change the subject or avoid anything that placed HER (or a topic she didn’t want to address) too close to a dirt pile.  I feel like she knew where the bodies were buried and closed ranks when necessary to protect someone; but perhaps not always protecting the right people.  Just my gut feeling. 

I respect her career and longevity and I almost always tuned in to her post Oscar interviews.  She managed to pull off some big-name interviews, and many times gathered good pieces of information.  But I just don’t love her.
