Let’s talk about X. 

X-Ray Spex -wtf are these 45’s doing in my collection? But I was looking up X to fill in blog content and there they were. I had no idea who this group is – do they have any hits? Rabbit hole here I come. Their album cover is inspired by “Attack of the Puppet People”??? OMG - love. Of course, I needed to buy it.

They had four charted hits in the UK, and this one reached #19. Interesting performance on TOTP. You can turn the sound off.

XTC – More 45's in my record collection of who are these guys? Then I vaguely remembered “Message for Nigel”, so I had research further. I recognized “Mayor of Simpleton”, and it reminded me of the TV show "Friends" for some reason. And then I saw that one of their lowest charting hits was “Dear God”.  I didn’t even know who SANG that, but it was on the radio. ALL. THE. TIME. 

Ultimately, when I got one of their LP's I got locked in by the stare of the cute guy in the lower left corner on “Black Sea” (Terry Chambers) and then I had to research all members of XTC.  I have a research disorder.
